Omouamoua

                                                   Part 1

The  first days at the new continent were very exciting.  Columbus and his companions had to explore the land.. So that’s what they did.  The land had other people that were living there . The Indians !! They  were  good people..  In the beginning everyone was a bit afraid..As the years went by…the fear was gone and the Europeans and the local Indians started to understand one another ‘s  culture.. The myths and the stories triggered Columbus imagination. He had heard of a hidden treasure in a canyon, not far away..

This was in his mind for some time…He was fond of the unknown.   So he called the leader of the Indian tribe.. They had a meeting.. They talked for many hours! The chief of the Indians  didn’t want to disturb the place where their Gods rested …                                                                                 Columbus wouldn’t change his mind.. He promised  to the Silver Feather leader of the Indians , to give him anything that he wanted…Guns, power..anything..Speak to me  Columbus shouted…

There was a pause.. Only the sound of silence.. Two big birds were flying above their heads. It was a sign ..The hawks were sent from the Gods…The Indian Leader  moved his head.. He agreed ! The journey was about to start..For the first  time the two races were going to act a one team……

                                                     Part 2

The next few days..were very important..All the preparations had to be correct…Both teams had taken with then the necessary..  “Silver feather as I told you, I will offer you  Guns” said Columbus.  “ We thank for your offer, you keep your promises” said the translator..son of the Leader of the local tribe..

The Europeans had never been before in a gloomy forest..They were afraid of the stories that people told.. “ There is nothing  to be scared of. The spirit of the forest will protect us” said the  White Wolf…Son of the Silver Feather…What magic is this.. the forest is haunted..We must get out here…!!The soldiers were  saying .. “Nothing is going to stand in our way” the famous explorer spoke out loud. The scenery  was very nice..Many animals lived in the forest..Wolves , deers  and many other creatures that the Europeans didn’t know..

They camped  for the night.. This was their first night in the forest. ..It wasn’t windy!! Everyone felt safe..It was the like all of nature around them was sleeping..It was like the spirit  of the forest was protecting them…When the Sun light reached the forest the  birds begun whistling…It was like a sweet melody…Everyone woke up. They felt relaxed and refreshed..They continued their journey..The canyon wasn’t  far away..  They had to go through the canyon..It had a lot of caves.. There was a mystery to it..The “ White Wolf” had a bad feeling..somebody was following them..Who or what could it be?

The canyon was had a lot of small rivers, with the fresh crystal waters, giving life to the cocky scene. Columbus men had never come across such an amazing landscape. The soldiers were felt relaxed, “ The White wolf” told them to keep their guns up.. Something or someone was following them. Fear and cold sweat stuck them. . “Don’t be afraid of anything, God is with us” said Columbus out loud to encourage his followers..

                                              Part 3

The journey in the canyon was long.. Luckily they had brought with them plenty of food and water.. They had been walking for many hours, so the “Silver feather” told them to light a fire so they can cook and that’s what they did.. The Europeans hadn’t tried the recipes of their new friends.. The Indians shared their food.. It tasted very different.. but they liked it. Captain Columbus thought that he could bring some of the ingredients to Europe. To sell them and make a fortune.. Maybe he would do it.

They continued their trip. Soon they would reach the place where the treasure was located.  But the adventure had just started.   The Captain shouted “ When are we going to find the what you promised?” Soon we are going to reach the Great Caves, that are going to lead us were the Gods are sleeping” said the “White Wolf” .. The Great Caves?  The soldiers shouted.. Maybe we should turn back Captain… “ No caves will stand in my way “ he replied So they followed the path that took them to the caves.. They wouldn’t see the sun light for a long time.. The caves were very dark.. So they lighted their torches… Strange creatures lived there… big spiders, lizards….snakes.. What else could you find there? The mystery was still there……..

                                                    

                                                     Part 4

 So the journey went on. The scenery was a bit frightening but what could they do.. They couldn’t turn back. Thea’d been traveling for days now.. The shape of the caves was like something or someone lived there a long time ago… Or could there have been more Indians that were looking for the treasure…thought Columbus.  “White Wolf” “could there be others that might be looking for the treasure” asked the Captain. “Many have tried but all have failed the final test.. The Gods know who honest in the heart, and only to him will they give the treasure”. Replied the chief’s son… So there were going to face new challenges.. Things and people they had never seen before..

 They started hearing sounds from deep in the caves.. They weren’t able to understand from which direction. Was it left, or was it right… Soon the whispers became voices. Loud voices.. The “Silver Feather” gave the order to his men to prepare for battle. They had spears for wepons. The Europeans had their swords. Together they would fight.. and that’s what they did..Another Indians tribe had followed them ang now they were fighting.. The battle lasted for a long time.. nobody was sure who would win.. The “Silver Feather” got a his spear and killed the leader the other Indian tribe…They had won.. Columbus shouted..   “Again we win my brothers.. Nothing can stop us from getting what we came for.. “

Nobody was injured!! So again they begun moving forward.. towards destiny!! Together the Indians and the Europeans had won the protectors of the treasure.. “  The “White Wolf “ took it as a sign. This what their Gods wanted. Nobody before had won the protectors.. Now they were getting closer to the treasure… Only one thing had to to be done…..And what was that thought the Captain from the distant sea?????????????
